On August 25, 2021, the Chilean Ambassador to China, Luis Schmidt Montes, and the Alibaba Group Globalization Office held an online meeting to discuss eWTP cooperation.

Chile is one of China's main fresh fruit suppliers. The Ambassador expressed the hope that the parties would continue to strengthen cooperation in promoting Chilean agricultural exports, and expressed interest in exploring the eWTP partnership in additional fields, so as to further enhance economic development through digital technology and trade.

The representatives of Alibaba expressed gratitude to the Chilean Ambassador and proposed to conduct further discussions on strengthening cooperation in areas including e-commerce, logistics, cloud services, and talent training, etc. The parties also agreed to hold regular follow-up discussions.
