On December 4, 2024, eWTP achieved a direct data connection with Thai customs, signifying a further expansion of its multi-declaration digital service capabilities to the whole of Thailand, based on the digital free trade zone B2C model and through in-depth cooperation with Thai authorities.
By the end of 2022, the eWTP Thailand digital free trade zone was officially put into use, marking an important milestone in the successful replication and promotion of China's cross-border e-commerce bonded model (1210) overseas. It has also injected rich practical experience and innovative business models into the development of Thailand's local cross-border e-commerce, effectively driving its growth.
Now, with the direct data connection between eWTP and Thai customs, the entire process of cross-border declarations across Thailand can be digitized. From the moment cross-border goods enter Thai territory to their final delivery to consumers, the entire process will be traceable and interconnected, assisting customs in real-time supervision and effectively enhancing declaration efficiency while simplifying customs clearance procedures. For merchants, this can further reduce compliance risks and significantly lower customs clearance costs.
As a public service platform, eWTP's direct connection channel can provide digital services for more cross-border businesses in Thailand. This will help Thai merchants fully leverage eWTP's digital customs clearance capabilities to engage in cross-border e-commerce and traditional B2B trade, opening up broader opportunities for digital trade between China and Thailand.
